BUDMA brings people together – thank you for these four days!

The first trade fair event of the year is behind us: four days of BUDMA, INTERMASZ, and STONE. “For years, Budma has been a place to discuss the future of construction, the challenges facing the industry, but also possible solutions,” said Robert Wielicki, President of the Management Board of the MTP Group, at the official opening.

This is where the Polish economy is built

This year, nearly 500 exhibitors from Poland and around the world presented their offerings. One of the key topics of this year's edition was safety and the so-called shelter law, which came into force on January 1 this year. “During Budma, the topics of designing, building, and equipping temporary shelters are strongly emphasized,” announced the President of the Management Board of the MTP Group. Michał Jaros, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Development and Technology, emphasized: “The Polish economy would not be so successful today if it weren't for places like BUDMA.” He added that the fair has a significant impact on the development of industry in Poland. It is here that architects, civil engineers, builders, and innovators who build the Polish economy on a daily basis meet. In turn, the Mayor of Poznań, Jacek Jaśkowiak, noted: “We are in the G20, and I have no doubt how much we owe to construction entrepreneurs.” Marek Beśka, President of the Board of the Energy-Efficient Ready-Made Houses Association, said the following about trends in construction: "This is the industry of the future. Today, there is no turning back from prefabrication.

Safety and quality above all else

The slogan of this year's BUDMA was CONSTRUCTION OF THE FUTURE. An integral part of this is safety, which is guaranteed by quality, and it was around these concepts that the substantive program and part of the exhibition were created, where visitors could familiarize themselves with, among other things, the range of shelters on offer. During the four days of the fair, events such as the following took place: SCHRONTECH+ training for designers, investors, and contractors in cooperation with the Association of Protective Construction Institute, GEODESY FOR CONSTRUCTION, organized by the Association of Polish Surveyors, ENGINEERING DAYS in cooperation with the Wielkopolska Regional Chamber of Civil Engineers, the WIN_DOOR POLAND Pro-Export Woodwork Forum, and the State Labor Inspectorate Conference: ACCIDENT-FREE CONSTRUCTION - DESIGN AS THE FOUNDATION OF SAFETY, Conference of the Energy-Efficient Ready-Made Houses Association PREFABRICATED CONSTRUCTION IN RESIDENTIAL AND DEVELOPMENT INVESTMENTS. Current topics were discussed during the 18th URBAN PLANNER'S DAY conference, which was opened by Tomasz Lewandowski, Undersecretary of State at the Ministry of Development and Technology. In cooperation with the Polish Association of Construction Engineers and Technicians, the 1st NATIONAL CONFERENCE ON THE DAY OF THE LARGE PANEL was held.

The power of demonstrations

In addition to training sessions organized by industry partners, participants could take part in dynamic demonstrations and consultations. The Practice and Innovation Zone, organized by the Finishing Industry Association, offered live demonstrations of tiling, drywall installation, decorative work, and DIY solutions, interactive workshops and consultations with experts. The Polish Roofers Association, Wielkopolska Branch, provided demonstrations of flashing and roofing installation, while aspiring roofers could learn how to weld membranes and admire Spanish roof tiles. The Finishing Works Group and its partners organized a demonstration area using modern tools. A group of apprentices competed in the 54th edition of the “Golden Trowel” Construction Tournament.

Design and architecture

ARCHI-STRADA 2026 – the future of Polish cities, beauty and aesthetics in architecture – these were the main themes of the presentations given by experts during one of the most important meetings of architects and designers in Poland. Among the invited guests were representatives of Polish and foreign architectural firms and collectives. Carl Bäckstrand (White Arkitekter) presented the topic of regenerative architecture and Scandinavian design patterns, while Maciej Jakub Zawadzki (LURE / MJZ) gave a lecture on performative aesthetics and innovations in revitalization processes. Discussions were held on stage about the future of architecture in the context of beauty, aesthetics, and functionality. An additional highlight of this year's BUDMA was the premiere of the Interior Design and Lighting Design Event, which proved that light is no longer just an addition to the interior—it has become a fully-fledged design and technological tool. A holistic approach to modern interior design is about appealing to the emotions, health, and comfort of users.
