BETONTECH – Concrete in construction
Concrete is one of the most widely used materials in construction - along with steel - and has many advantages that make it worthwhile even today.

The salon will showcase:
- concrete, cement, mortar
- screeds
- concrete admixtures
- concrete curing agents and equipment
- concrete pavements
- 3D printing in concrete
- concrete curing technologies
- machinery and equipment for concrete production and transportation
Concrete is a composite material characterized by, among other things:
versatility of applications - it can be used for foundations, walls, ceilings, roads, bridges, tunnels, landscaping elements and many other structures, and can be formed into almost any shape
high compressive strength - concrete has excellent load-bearing properties, especially in compression - ideal for building foundations, columns and walls; in combination with reinforcing steel, it forms reinforced concrete, which is resistant to both compression (concrete) and tension (steel)
fire and acoustic resistance - concrete has very good fire resistance - it does not burn, does not emit toxic gases; due to its weight and density, it dampens noise well - important in residential and public buildings.
relatively low cost - The components of concrete (cement, sand, aggregate, water) are readily available and inexpensive; construction with concrete is often cheaper than with other materials (especially for large projects).
durability and weather resistance - Properly designed and cared for concrete can last for decades or even hundreds of years; it is resistant to moisture, frost, wind, UV radiation and other weather conditions.
prefabrication capability - prefabricated concrete elements (e.g., walls, beams, slabs) are increasingly being used, which speeds up construction and improves the quality of workmanship.
ecological concrete - modern technologies make it possible to reduce the carbon footprint of concrete through the use of low-carbon cements, recycled admixtures (e.g., fly ash, slag), self-compacting concrete technologies that require less energy to lay.
